Battle Mountain, Nevada is a step back in time. They don't use anything but the "Old Ways" on most of the ranches. Once home to the mighty IL, YP and Circle A ranches, Nevada, like Arizona, continues to fade away. I sometimes wonder what I'll paint in twenty years. For now, I'm going to be content with the people I've met, the places I've seen and the memories invoked by witnessing a heel trap and hot slack.
