Miles’ reputation precedes him in the Chino Valley area of Arizona.  Miles, like his father Milo is seen as a Cowboy’s cowboy.  To hear top hands boast that the DeWitt crew is a handy bunch, speaks volumes.  This painting illustrates that opinion.  It seems that Miles’ first go with this stout Paint resulted in a broken right arm.  I took this photo several weeks later at the Williams Ranch Rodeo, and Miles, in typical cowboy fashion, was thrilled at getting a second chance.  From there, the story is uneventful, because Miles posted a picture perfect 2nd chance ride.  As for the title, if you look carefully, Miles’ right hand is still in a cast from visit #1.  That’s why he’s a Cowboy’s cowboy
